My name is Grace Marie. I am named after the Blessed Mother.
Hail Mary Full of grace. My aunt was born the same day as me and her name was Mary, so as not to be confused, my mom named me Grace and gave me a variation of Mary for my middle name.
2. I live in the beautiful hot sunny state of Arizona.
It really is beautiful here with the mountains, cactus, and sunsets, but it can also get pretty hot in the summers. Up to 115 degrees!
3. I live here with my family, who I am very close with.
My family is made up of my mom, my dad, and my older sister.
4. I love cats and have a beautiful cat named Goldie.
We have had Goldie since 2018, when my sister’s students at the time gave Goldie to her as a Christmas present. She has been apart of the family ever since!
5. I am strong in my faith and have been Catholic my whole life.
My parents raised me us to love God and have faith be an essential part of our lives. My dad has his PHD in Pastoral Theology and my mom and dad met discerning on whether to be a priest and a nun. Yet, my faith grew deeper as I underwent suffering in my teens and early twenties.
6. I am a very creative person.
I have always loved the arts and to create through a variety of means, ever since I was a little girl. Whether it be through art, music, fashion, poetry or photography, I love to express myself creatively.
7. My love for creating art blossomed in high school.
My self portrait was chosen 1 in 5 out of 800 students to be apart of a self- portrait show sophomore year, where our art work would be displayed in a musuem. I was the only sophomore chosen, the other 4 students were seniors.
8. I love to sing! I currently go Liberty University Online for Commercial Music.
I have loved to sing since I was a little girl. My goal of my degree is to worship the Lord in music ministry and one day self publish songs I write encouraging others to Live Victorious.
9. I have always loved music. In some of my darkest times, God brought me hope through music.
I have always had a special relationship with music. I love songs that have meaning and can make a person feel and see in a beautiful way what the musician is thinking and feeling. My favorite kinds are Country, Classics, Contemporary Christian, Worship, and Catholic Sacred Music.
10. I also love scrapbooking!
Scrapbooking is one of my favorite, favorite activities. My goal is to make a scrapbook from here on out for every year of my life.
11. I love to travel!
2024 I went on a pilgrimmage to Italy and to Fatima, Portugal, in the Footsteps of Carlo Acutis. It was a life changing event and there are so many new places I would love to travel! That same year I got to see Hawaii for the first time!
12. I love to cook!
I have all 3 Magnolia Table Cookbooks and have been recently making some delicious dishes such as a quiche and some delicious BLT’s with fresh herb mayo!
13. I pray the rosary daily
The rosary is a powerful weapon! Our Lady has asked that we pray the rosary every day.
14. St. Therese and St. Padre Pio are some of my favorite saints.
These saints emphasized being little, humble, and holy. I aim to love others and God like these two very special saints.
15. I want to make others feel less alone and tell them how loved they are.
No matter who you are, you a beloved child of God, made in His image. You have inherent value and worth. Although I am very blessed, I too have struggles and insecurities and sufferings that I have gone through in life. But God met me in my brokeness, and helped me to heal and continue to heal. It is only through the great love of God and prayer that I am here today. Never question your worth, because you friend are so very loved.
